CHI Game Formats

Various Game Formats Played at CHI Events

Singles:

  • Player A competes against Player B.
  • Both players stay in their designated lane for the whole game.
  • Players start the game at the headboard and will alternate pitching bags until each player has pitched all (4) of his/her bags.
  • Players then walk to the end of their lane to the other court, take score, and resume pitching back to the other cornhole board.

Doubles - BYOP:

This is standard doubles format (see below) where you Bring Your Own Partner.

  • Team A competes against Team B – each team is comprised of two (2) people.
  • Each team will stay in their designated lane for the whole game.
  • Players at the headboard will alternate pitching bags until each player has pitched all (4) of his/her bags.
  • Players at the footboard will take score and resume pitching back to the other cornhole board.

Doubles - Blind Draw:

This is standard doubles format (see below) where you are paired with a partner.

Switcholio:

  • Switcholio is a unique doubles blind draw round robin in which players get a new partner for every game, and get ranked on an individual basis.
  • We can then use leader board to recognize and reward top finishers, or seed them into a single elimination playoff.

Crew Cup:

  • Crew Cup is a blind draw format for a 4-man team.
  • 4 players per team, two on each side.
  • Each player gets two bags and alternates throws.
  • Player 1 - 1st and 3rd bag, Player 2 - 2nd and 4th bag!
  • Fun and exciting twist to say the least.
